Meet The Staff

At Wild Birds Unlimited We Are Dedicated to Providing You with the Highest Quality Products and the Best Customer Service.

JimJim, CEO, President, jim@wbugigharbor.com

Jim is the Boss Man at Wild Birds Unlimited. He opened up the shop in Gig Harbor in 1993 and recently changed locations of the store in 2004. His favorite Puget Sound Bird is the Belted Kingfisher. You will find the young ladies of the store sending him on garbage and seed storage runs. He drives all over the Puget Sound, delivering seed for free to our customers, and he thoroughly enjoys helping people become enthusiasts of backyard bird feeding.

MarilynMarilyn, Store Manager, marilyn_sisson@yahoo.com

Marilyn came to the store in April of 2005. Her favorite bird is a Violet Green Swallow. She enjoys showing our customers the Advanced Pole System (APS), our complete bird feeding station system. She thinks our store is wonderful because of our customer base. Everyone is so friendly and enjoyable to assist. Marilyn just completed the Wild Birds Unlimited University Program in Indianapolis in 2008 and is implementing strategies to help grow our customer base.

AmberAmber, Certified Bird Feeding Specialist

Amber first started her work at Wild Birds Unlimited in May of 2008. She joined us just before our busy summer and has helped create beautiful and organized displays in our store. Her favorite part about the store is working with our friendly staff and boss, who make going to work seem like no work at all! Her favorite birds are Eagles and Red-Tailed Hawks. The product she enjoys selling the most is our new Bark Butter, which you can slather on any tree, and the birds will flock to it from miles away.

Jennifer, Certified Bird Feeding Specialist

Jennifer started her first day at the shop on April 1st, 2008. Her favorite bird is the Black Capped Chickadee which is a common bird in the Puget Sound Region. Listen carefully on a nature walk and you'll hear their familiar call "Chicka-dee-dee-dee." Jennifer's favorite aspect about Wild Birds Unlimited is working with all of our enjoyable customers who are some of the nicest, most environmentally conscious people she has ever met. Her favorite product to promote is our new Quick Clean Seed Tube feeders. Stop by the store and she will show you how it works!

Angela, Certified Bird Feeding Specialist

Angela began working at Wild Birds Unlimited in March of 2002. Her favorite bird is the Mountain Bluebird and her favorite products are anything made out of recycled plastic from milk jugs - from suet feeders to seed feeders. She enjoys working at the store because she gets to meet good people, like the Boss Man Jim.

Katie, Certified Bird Feeding Specialist

Katie began working at Wild Birds Unlimited in June 2009. She is currently training to be a Certified Bird Feeding Specialist during our busiest season of the year!

Jennifer SJennifer, Web Content Manager

Jennifer began working at Wild Birds Unlimited in December of 2002. Her favorite bird is the Anna's Hummingbird because it is so adaptable and stays in the Puget Sound Region all year long. She recently moved out of the area but continues to stay connected to Gig Harbor and her favorite staff by managing the website content. Recently, WBU Gig Harbor was awarded Best Website of they Year by the Wild Birds Unlimited Franchise Headquarters! Hooray!

LucyLucy, Store Cat

Lucy has been a Store Cat for the past couple of years. She came to us through the Humane Society, when we were having a Wildlife Education Fair in our courtyard. She is a pure bred Ragdoll and we enjoy her cuddles and love. She is very friendly but watch out for the occasional swipe of the paw. You will find her on the counter "helping" us work but if you're at the right shoulder's length, she'll make you her next cuddle.

RockyRocky, Store Cat

Rocky Balboa, we like to call him. He has six toes on each paw and he is very playful. He also came to us through the Humane Society during one of our Wildlife Education Fairs. He loves to eat and enjoys being outside when the weather is nice.
